![]() How far is Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus-Easton Area from Columbus?.It was just not a welcoming, comfortable, or restful stay. We will pay out of pocket elsewhere next time before staying here again even with such a discount. We usually stay elsewhere in the Easton area, but we had a good deal here with points. We had no issues with the parking lot or with feeling unsafe there. So I imagine that created a stressful situation. The lady working was very grumpy, but it was busy and there was a guest screaming at her kids while she used both waffle makers for her party of 7. The pressure was very poor and the temperature did not get particularly hot. We had to climb into the tub to untie the shower curtain from the grab bars, and it was very difficult to turn the water in the tub on. The toilet paper and tissues were both low and there were no backups, but we made it. The TV channels were a bit limited and didn’t match the guide on the TV. We had to use our phone flashlights to see into our bags. There was the light at the door, two bedside lamps, and one desk lamp with a very directed and dark shade that didn’t help light the room at all. The beds were comfortable and so was the temperature control. I’ve seen that mentioned in a previous review. While that isn’t the fault of the hotel, they certainly don’t have measures in place to monitor these kinds of things, the walls are paper thin so lots of noise comes through, and our room phone didn’t call to the desk. It came from the kids running up and down the hall and from the dog down the hall that was barking at 11pm and then again constantly from 6-6:30am. However, the noise we experienced didn’t come from the elevator area. My room preferences are for high floors (which I got) and far from elevator (I was next to it - and the hotel wasn’t full). I was not able to select my room at that time so I had to stop by the desk, where I was treated as a nuisance, especially when I requested an actual room key. No fruit out…įirst, I checked in online as I always do.Orange juice didn’t mix right even after she put a new OJ in the machine.(I guess if you drink tea, you’re out of luck) Watery oatmeal o Used packets of oatmeal, but there was hot water out, kitchen staff had to get me 2 cups of hot water. No Bagels (I was told they were coming in on the truck).(I had booked through Concur, and there is no listing of Queens being more expensive than kings.) Breakfast – poorly run, though staff was trying to do their best. ![]() (I’ve never heard of that) I explained I didn’t want 2 queens, just a lower floor and the evening desk clerk put me in the 2 queen room and charged me extra for it. I spoke to the morning desk clerk, she checked and said that 2 Queens are more expensive than Kings. On my initial bill the next morning and I had been charged $20 for an upgrade. I got in the room and it had 2 queens – which as a solo traveler I prefer a king for more space in a small hotel room. I asked him for lower floor and he put me in a 3rd floor room. At check-in, the desk clerk was putting me on the 5th floor.
